ABSTRACT
El trabajo que a continuación se presenta tiene como propósito realizar una evaluación del grado de ajuste marginal de las restauraciones protésicas fijas en dientes vitales realizadas en las clínicas intramurales de la facultad de odontología de la Universidad de El Salvador. El estudio comprende aspectos importantes como el grado de retracción gingival y el manejo teórico practico de los diferentes elementos de adapte marginal utilizados en las clínicas, así como en la influencia que ejerce la terminación gingival y los diversos criterios de los operadores para la verificación del ajuste marginal de las restauraciones protésicas fijas, con el objeto de establecer un índice provisional sobre el ajuste marginal que puede ser utilizado en el futuro por estudiantes programados en el área restaurativa. Este trabajo se divide en cuatro grandes apartados; la primera fase: la determinación de los elementos del diagnóstico, en la cual se establece la justificación explicando las razones del porque y para que, de la investigación, encaminadas a la situación real de la problemática que se xvii. investiga. Así mismo los objetivos generales y específicos que se proponen alcanzar durante y al final de la investigación, además se plantean los alcances y limitaciones u obstáculos que se presentaron en la realización del trabajo; las variables e indicadores utilizados como parámetros para la elaboración de instrumentos. Luego las unidades de análisis del estudio, objeto de transformación, variables e indicadores y la definición de términos básicos, para que el lector comprenda la terminología en una forma clara y sencilla. La segunda fase: comprende lo que es el marco teórico donde se plantean los antecedentes haciendo una breve reseña histórica del desarrollo, evolución y avances de las prótesis parciales fijas. La discusión bibliográfica trata de fundamentar la problemática y de darle importancia a la investigación, por medio de citas bibliográficas y especialistas idóneos en la materia. En la tercera fase: se hace referencia a la metodología de la investigación, se clasifica el tipo de investigación, se caracteriza la población, se determina la muestra, se seleccionan las técnicas e xviii. Instrumentos, se elaboran las hojas tabulares, se procede a la recolección de datos, tabulación, vaciado y análisis de los mismos. Luego en la cuarta fase: comprende los resultados del diagnóstico, se presentan los cuadros estadísticos y la descripción de los datos con los resultados recopilados de toda la investigación, así como el análisis general de la problemática estudiada en base a los resultados del diagnóstico; se presentan las conclusiones generales y específicas, así como también las recomendaciones, en las cuales se engloban todos aquellos aspectos relevantes de la investigación. Al final del trabajo se encuentra la bibliografía, utilizada para el mejor desarrollo científico de la investigación, y a la vez se presentan los anexos para sustentar parte de la información expuesta a través de la realización del trabajo.
The purpose of the work presented below is to evaluate the degree of marginal adjustment of fixed prosthetic restorations in vital teeth performed in the intramural clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of El Salvador. The study includes important aspects such as the degree of gingival retraction and the theoretical and practical management of the different elements of marginal adaptation used in the clinics, as well as the influence exerted by gingival termination and the various criteria of the operators for the verification of the fit. marginal of fixed prosthetic restorations, in order to establish a provisional index on the marginal fit that can be used in the future by students programmed in the restorative area. This work is divided into four main sections; the first phase: the determination of the elements of the diagnosis, in which the justification is established explaining the reasons why and why, of the investigation, aimed at the real situation of the problem that is being xvii. investigates. Likewise, the general and specific objectives that are proposed to be achieved during and at the end of the investigation, in addition to the scope and limitations or obstacles that arose in the performance of the work are raised; the variables and indicators used as parameters for the elaboration of instruments. Then the units of analysis of the study, object of transformation, variables and indicators and the definition of basic terms, so that the reader understands the terminology in a clear and simple way. The second phase: understand what is the theoretical framework where the antecedents are raised by making a brief historical review of the development, evolution and advances of fixed partial prostheses. The bibliographic discussion tries to substantiate the problem and give importance to the investigation, through bibliographic citations and suitable specialists in the matter. In the third phase: reference is made to the research methodology, the type of research is classified, the population is characterized, the sample is determined, the techniques are selected and xviii. Instruments, tabular sheets are made, data is collected, tabulated, emptied and analyzed. Then in the fourth phase: it includes the results of the diagnosis, the statistical tables and the description of the data with the results collected from all the research are presented, as well as the general analysis of the problem studied based on the results of the diagnosis; The general and specific conclusions are presented, as well as the recommendations, in which all relevant aspects of the research are included. At the end of the work is the bibliography, used for the best scientific development of the research, and at the same time the annexes are presented to support part of the information exposed through the completion of the work.
